Families do not pay for our senior living guidance
Cardinal does not charge families for senior living advisory help. You may still pay a community for housing and services, and other providers set their own fees. Our free advisory service does not make those costs free.
A participating community may pay us
When a privately paying resident we introduce moves into a participating community, the community may pay Cardinal a referral fee. This creates a financial relationship that you should know about. We identify applicable arrangements before introductions.
Your choice comes first
You are not required to select a community that pays Cardinal. Ask us whether each option has a referral agreement, whether a nonparticipating option was considered, and what information still needs independent verification. We do not represent every community and do not guarantee a complete market inventory.
Medicaid-funded care
We do not charge families or accept referral fees for Medicaid-funded care. Eligibility, coverage, and admission are determined by the relevant agencies and providers. We can point you toward public resources for further help.
Separate services
Homeward, community housing, legal assistance, moving services, and other third-party services may have their own fees and agreements. There is no obligation to purchase them to receive Cardinal’s senior living guidance.
Questions about a recommendation?
Ask us directly: “Who pays Cardinal if we choose this option?” We welcome the question. Contact (716) 300-2769 or hello@thecardinalgroup.org.
